Bega Valley Shire Labour Force Capability and Futures Assessment
Purpose:
This project will assess labour force capabilities of the region now and into the future, through a transformative assessment of the labour market of the Bega Valley region, with a specific focus on the town of Eden. The assessment will be undertaken by a team of skilled consultants who will engage with the project partners, local businesses, education providers, social service organisations and the community. Two levels of innovative consultation processes will identify existing and potential; skills gaps, challenges, vulnerabilities and opportunities to improve the operation of the local labour market in the region. The project will also pilot a deep dive consultation approach for the town of Eden to generate actions and options for implementation at all scales from small wins to strategic actions that could be implemented now or over the next 25 years to improve the capability of the labour market in Eden.
