Purpose:
The objective of the grant is to enable the grantee to deliver the Australia-India Strategic Research Fund Fellowships to Australian early to mid-career scientific researchers to support the development of their relationships with Indian counterparts. The intended outcomes of the grant are to develop researchers? expertise in international collaboration, foster long-term relationships between Australian and Indian researchers, increase Australian researchers? understanding of India?s culture, particularly science and research practices and systems, develop researchers? leadership skills as future science ambassadors for Australia, strengthen the relationship between the Australian Academy of Science and its Indian counterpart, the Indian National Science Academy and provide a catalyst for future Australia-India research collaboration.
