Purpose:
Drug repurposing is a method for identifying new uses for drugs that are outside the scope of the original medical use.We are proposing one of the most ambitious approaches to developing new ovarian cancer treatments ever undertaken by establishing the Australian program of drug repurposing for treatment resistant ovarian cancer.This will be a world first large-scale program of drug repurposing for ovarian cancer delivered by scientists, clinicians and ovarian cancer consumers working together.
