A 6.48kW PV and battery storage system for the Murramarang Mens Shed
Purpose:
The Murramarang Mens Shed Inc of Bawley Point / Kioloa will purchase and install a 6.48 kW solar PV and battery storage system ( off grid) which will generate clean electricity and help reduce the power bills associated with running the sheds activities. As a stand alone facility it will alleviate the demand on the national electricity grid and be totally self-sufficient for our energy needs. Installing this system will provide around an estimated 9,402 Kwh/year of electricity saving around 8,649 kg of CO2 annually and a saving of $2,282 pa. It will realise the sustainability principles of our organisation and be a proud achievement for our environmentally conscious community. The significant reduction in power bills will free up funds.
