A 9.6kw PV system for Milton Ulladulla Men's Shed (MUMS)
Purpose:
MUMS will purchase and install a 9.6kw solar PV system to generate approximately 14,300 kWh of clean energy annually. This will largely satisfy our organisation's power requirements, alleviate pressure on the national electricity grid and save more than twelve tonnes of CO2 emissions per year. Installation would complement our current environmental practices of timber salvage, timber recycling and re-planting of native vegetation. Power cost savings will be used to further enhance community well-being by funding additional participatory opportunities for members and increasing current services to other local charities and the wider community. MUMS will seek local media coverage to promote public awareness of the program.
