Solar photovoltaic generator system for Anglican Parish of Gosnells
Purpose:
In addition to church activities (worship; providing welfare relief etc), many local community groups use our facilities. In 2013, the community centre, hall, kitchen and theatre areas were extended/renovated, which quadrupled community use. Current community users are: Early Christian Church Fellowship (Sri Lankan Tamil refugees) families seeking welfare assistance drug abuse support groups government-funded Life Skills support groups local dance groups exercise groups craft groups a theatre group men's group social coffee groups. A solar photovoltaic generator system will do more than produce environmental benefits; over time it will reduce hiring costs for community users and thus benefit the wider community.
