11KW PV System for Pottsville Beach NC (PBNC) Community Tech Centre
Purpose:
PBNC will purchase an 11 kw Solar PV system for its Community Technology Centre. The proposed system should generate approximately 16.9 mwh p.a. (based on local data provided by BOM) providing significant reduction in the electricity cost of operating the centre which houses numerous computers for use by community members. There are computers running in the centre 7 days per week and 100% self consumption is expected, saving the organisation $4,394 p.a. and the environment 15.55 tonnes of CO2.(www.carbonneutral.com.au). This project will provide additional benefit to our community as we deliver Sustainability Coaching from the Tech Centre encouraging people to install solar. This new system would showcase a system in operation.
