Purpose:
Through the Australian Government Solar Communities Program the Wanneroo Amateur Football Club has recieved funding to install a 11.4kw solar energy system. The massive finaciial saving which will be in excess of $52,000 in the first 10 years and up to $166,000 over 25 years will go towards reducing the pressure on our volunteers to raise funds to offset rising cost. These savings will also help out during tough economice times when sposorship, like it has it he last few years dropped off by over 50%. Our aim is to make football affordable and this will enable us to maintain this vision whilst alos reducing the clubs environmental foot print. The system is also designed that we can add more solar panels and a battery system.
