A 10kW solar PV array for Teachers West Rugby Union Club in Townsville
Purpose:
The Teachers West Rugby Union Club will purchase and install a 10kW solar PV system to generate clean electricity. By reducing the power burden on the wider community's electricity resources, Teachers West Rugby Union hopes to assist in reducing the community's CO2 emissions and move the Club towards becoming self-sufficient with our energy needs. With the playing grounds located in the heart of a residential area, the Club hopes a significant reduction in associated costs for power generation will allow additional funds to be allocated to Club growth and development. With plans for expansion and upgrading to the exterior areas surrounding the Clubhouse, it is hoped this will provide better facilities for use by the broader community.
