Purpose:
This project will support the hire of the stage for the Festival Hub during the Cooktown Expo 2020 which will celebrate the 250th Anniversary of Captain Cook's visit to the region. This will be a nationally significant event held between July and August 2020, replacing the annual three day Discovery Festival for one year only. Events held on the stage will include the opening and closing ceremonies, Reconciliation Rocks Concert and Indigenous showcase events.
