Purpose:
Good360 is a matchmaker. We match the spare goods of business to vulnerable Australians, businesses have donated over $192M of goods, over 22M items and we have helped over 2,800 charities and schools to help communities across Australia to direct these goods to some of Australia's most vulnerable.
Good360 moved into our Re–distribution Centre in 2019/2020. This facility is based in Smithfield and in 2,500 sqm of warehouse space and 1,200 sqm of office space. Goodman generously provides this facility at no cost, at a market value of $750,000 per year. Good360 is responsible for the electricity cost of approximately $6,000 per annum.
Since moving in, we have responded to Bushfires, COVID, Floods and a Mouse plague. The demand grew exponentially in a very short period of time. We needed to respond quickly during COVID–19 we had the challenges of less labour (volunteers) and an increase in demand for services.
The demand for Good360 is 28% greater this year with 43% less funding. Good360 is matching 39 items a minute to vulnerable Australians. We are a charity who are passionate about waste and the environment.
This project will enable us to:
Reduce energy cost expenditure (Electricity accounts)
Reduce energy usage
Improve energy efficiency practices and technologies
by
Installing new systems for lighting, including timers, sensors and controls across the 4 office space
We want to ensure that our lighting system is on timers and not accidentally left on wasting unnecessary electricity.
Good360 is a circular economy business leader, having recently been awarded the inaugural NZ/AU Circle Awards in Community, Education and Research as well as the big one, Judges Choice.
Sustainability and responsible consumption of resources are central to all we do.
This project will help us live the values of our company.
