Purpose:
Austroads is an independent company established by Australian (Commonwealth, state and territory) Governments and the New Zealand Government to undertake transport research activities that contribute to improving transport outcomes. The Australian Government is a member of Austroads and has agreed to maintain its support of Austroads to develop national guidelines and specifications for the use of recycled glass, tyres and plastics in roads from 1 November 2020 to 30 June 2022.
