Purpose:
The Walpole Community Resource Centre are hoping to run a project that facilitates the installation of solar panels throughout our Walpole Community Hall. The hall is a commonly used venue for local groups, officials and holiday makers and would benefit greatly from a better option in energy consumption. As most events at the hall take place during the day, we will aim to have no electricity bill and instead invest more money into the community.
Groups and events using the hall weekly include, Walpole Library, Mahjong Group, Craft Group, Free Community Lunches and our Historic Society. We also have reoccurring events such as the School Holiday programmes and Pink Breakfast.
Denmark Solar and Renewable Energy (DSR Energy Pty. Ltd), who previously installed a system in our CRC, are highly reliable and recommended. They have quoted us for the project and we are excited at the possibility of going ahead.
Once installation is complete, the CRC will confidentially be able to claim that our town aims for a better future in energy awareness.
