World Robot Olympiad Football Competition in Hungary 2019.
Purpose:
For the last 9 years, RoboCup Junior Australia (RCJA) (www.robocupjunior.org.au) Standard League Robot Soccer tournament has been the qualifying event for the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) (www.wro–association.org). During this time, more than 30 self–funded teams from Australia have competed in WRO Football against students from over 60 countries and gained extraordinary experiences. Our team of 2 girls (from John Monash Science School & Tintern Grammer) have qualified to go to WRO Gyor, Hungary (November 8–10) this year. It is anticipated that these students will return form WRO and inspire other students to follow the STEM pathway.
