Somerville House RCJA National Team 2019
Purpose:
Somerville House together with Somerville House P & F is arranging to send fifteen girls from Brisbane to compete at RoboCup Junior Australia Competition in Melbourne in 2019. RoboCup Junior Australia is a project–oriented educational initiative that supports local, regional and international robotics events for young students. Robotics uses computer programming, problem–solving skills and algorithmic thinking to create robots that play soccer, perform dance routines or navigate a series of obstacle courses. RCJA is an invaluable STEM forum for girls to exhibit their technical skills, and develop their confidence and bravery in tackling new challenges in real time as part of a fun and team–based activity.
