Grant Activity:
The influence of genetic variation on foetal alcohol spectrum disorder
Purpose:
Drinking alcohol during pregnancy is the most common cause of environmentally induced human birth defects. But there is not a simple linear relationship between the amount of alcohol ingested and the consequence for the unborn child. In this research we will examine how the genetic makeup of an unborn child influences the consequence of maternal alcohol consumption.
