PRECeDe: Prevention of neonatal Respiratory morbidity with antenatal corticosteroids prior to Elective Caesarean section in women with Diabetes: A Randomised trial
Purpose:
This research trial will determine whether giving corticosteroid injections to pregnant women with diabetes before elective Caesarean section between 35+0 and 39+6 weeks reduces the rate of breathing problems in their babies. We will study the short-term benefits and side effects in the mothers and babies, and also determine whether giving corticosteroid injections is good value for money.
