Purpose:
The Neutron Capture Enhanced Particle Therapy (NCEPT) project is a joint project between the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO), Sumitomo Heavy Industries Ltd., and the National Institute of Radiological Sciences (National Institutes for Quantum and Radiological Science and Technology), Japan.
The purpose of this grant is to progress the NCEPT cancer treatment into a pre-clinical model and subsequently develop treatment planning methods for the first human clinical trials.
