Purpose:
Curtin University is undertaking a range of activities, in partnership with the international SKA Organisation, to progress the design of the Low Frequency Aperture Array element of Phase 1 of the Square Kilometre Array. The grant is provided is enable Curtin to undertake a collaborative project with the Italian Institute of Astrophysics (INAF) and other partners to deploy test arrays of the 'AAVS1' and 'EDA2' low frequency aperture array systems as part of the SKA1–Low antenna technology down–select process.
