Installation of solar battery storage unit
Purpose:
Scope: The funds will be used to engage a Clean Energy Council approved solar retailer to purchase, supply and install 1 x LG Chem RESU 10H–Prime battery to existing Solar Edge Photovoltaic system at the Pymble Church and buildings.
Key activities:
Pre– application considerations:
– Assess possible savings from installing a solar battery to existing solar panels
–Liaise with solar panel installer to assess design considerations
– Check costing and confirm balance of funding availability
– Work with installer to identify possible battery sites within the building
– Ensure installer has appropriate CEC credentials
– Check with local Council if any building permits required.
After notification of successful PCP application:
– Complete, sign & return PCP grant agreement and receive payment
– Accept installer quotation and pay deposit
– Establish a delivery date for the battery/ materials and ensure a church representative is onsite to receive delivery
– Arrange an installation date (between Jan – April 2022) that has minimal disruption to business
– Establish appropriate accounting and acquittal processes.
Installation & post installation:
– Ensure church representative is on site to receive delivery of battery
– Allow time to cater for contingencies such as bad weather and delay in supply of materials
– Ensure Church representative receives documentation on electrical safety, grid connection approval and warranties
–Ensure training and understanding of on–going maintenance is undertaken
–Generate final payment on completion of contract
– Notify electricity provider of the installation (if necessary) and negotiate a new agreement (if necessary)
– Complete all acquittal forms and other documentation prior to June 2022.
