Purpose:
The purpose of the Grant is to provide students with skills and connections to future Vocational Education and Training (VET) pathways for employment opportunities into Civil and Mining industry sectors on completion of their education in Nuriootpa, Eudunda and Kapunda High Schools in the SA4 Port Pirie region, South Australia. The Grant will directly support industry needs and address the skills shortages in the Civil and Mining industry sectors by providing five (5) accredited units of training from ?RII20120: Certificate II in Resources and Infrastructure? and two additional important units ?CPCCWHS1001: Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry? and ?HLTAID009 Provide First Aid? to a minimum of twelve (12) and a maximum of fifteen (15) Year 11 and 12 students in the Barossa Valley region, South Australia.
