Buying time & Restoring Populations: Managing collaborative conservation breeding programs (ERF-WRR2-013)

Purpose:

This project will:
- provide operational, project and administrative support to other grantees funded under the Program;
- undertake research (as necessary) relevant to captively-bred species;
- provide advice on appropriate species management practices;
- conduct stakeholder coordination to support the outcomes of captive breeding programs; and
- conduct communication activities to support the outcomes of captive breeding programs.
By providing these support functions, it is intended that the grantees managing captive breeding programs will be able to focus their efforts on the on-ground activities, such as the care and physical management of the animals and preparation for potential future re-introductions.
