Purpose:
Undertake various repatriation activities that include research, Indigenous consultations and the physical return of both ancestral remains and secret sacred objects. The repatriation of ancestral remains area a legacy project delivered in agreement with the Victorian Aboriginal Heritage Council (VAHC). Museums Victoria will undertake activities in Victoria, APY Lands, the Northern and Central Australia and Arnhem Land.
