Grant Activity:
Harnessing and understanding Tr1 cells in inflammation
Purpose:
Inflammation that is inappropriately directed causes a range of important human diseases and current therapies for these diseases are limited. New methods or identification of new mechanisms that can be exploited to control persistent inflammation are therefore urgently required. In this project we will explore the biology of Type-I regulatory T cells (Tr1 cells), which appear to play an important role in the control of inflammation.
