Purpose:

Songlines: Tracking the Seven Sisters showcases the unique cultural heritage of Australia in a contemporary light, telling ancient stories in an immersive and engaging way. It was awarded Most Outstanding Exhibition at the Museums and Galleries National Awards 2018. The exhibition will form part of the AU/UK Season of Culture building on Australia's cultural reputation by fostering international relations and cultural understanding. Songlines is compelling in scale and complexity, conveying an Indigenous founding narrative through Indigenous ways of passing on knowledge. It will contribute to furthering the Australian Government’s goal of growing the profile of the Indigenous art market internationally.
