Purpose:
Breakout Accelerator is a collaboration between Australian Centre for Rural Entrepreneurship (ACRE) and SecondMuse. Centred around the creation of a new incubator at the Old Beechworth Goal, Breakout is designed to leverage regional, national and international networks in order to open up and introduce regional and rural startup entrepreneurs to the broad innovation ecosystem that the respective organisations have access to. Combining SecondMuses network–centred methodology with ACREs deep understanding of rural enterprise capacity building, we will build an accelerator for 10 startups from rural and regional Victoria and Southern NSW to develop and grow their businesses, and give them access to new domestic and international markets.
