Grant Activity:
How does methamphetamine use, mental health and treatment interventions affect one another?
Purpose:
Within Australia, an increasing proportion of people are using crystalline methamphetamine, or ice. Using amphetamines has been linked to various harms and an increased risk of comorbid mental health disorders. However, exploring the link between comorbid mental health and treatment outcomes has been limited. The proposed PhD aims to explore this link further through linking multiple cohorts of people dependent on methamphetamine as well as methamphetamine-related hospital presentations.
