Purpose:
Southern Cross Outreach Observatory Project (SCOOP) is a mobile astronomical observatory based in Adelaide. Its aim is to bring astronomy to communities in Australia and promote public interest in this field of science. SCOOP has been a part of National Science Week since 2017 and carried out public outreach astronomy interstate. In 2019, we are planning to carry out public astronomy outreach as part of National Science Week in regional South Australia.
