Installation of LED lighting
Purpose:
To replace all 46 of our non–LED lighting with LEDs in our two buildings. Such replacements will save about 4,500 kWh of energy usage a year a 45% reduction. The saving in CO2 emissions should be about 8 tonnes/year. We estimate $4,000/year savings from power saved by replacing the lighting system and by saving the cost of replacing 2 cycles of non–LED lights over the life of the new LEDs. The key activities of the project are: confirming the original project quote, confirming the approved contractor, arranging the installation schedule, implementing the lighting upgrade, quality checks, final testing, safe removal and disposal of old lights, touch–up painting ceilings around new and old light sockets; and of in–kind costs of project planning, supervision, quality control, and work inspections of electrician and painter.
