Purpose:
St Patrick's Community Support Centre currently runs a busy drop in service and support hub at this location that offers a range of services to persons who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Perth South West metropolitan area. Services include meals, emergency relief, various support services and a health and a dental clinic. Currently, the lighting is dark and inefficient and the 2 air–conditioning units that service the health clinic and treatment rooms are rusting and energy inefficient. This project would first look at replacing the existing non LED (fluorescent) lighting with brighter more energy efficient 11 LED light fittings throughout our centre as per the quote, and then replacing the 2 old and inefficient air–conditioning units (one split system and one ducted system) (both over 10 years old) in the pro bono medical rooms, in order to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon output.
