Purpose:
Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is the most common type of chronic liver disease in Australia, effecting approximately 30 percent of the adult population. It reduces quality of life and places significant time and cost burden on the public health system. We propose to conduct a nurse-led community assessment service in urban and regional Queensland, which will reduce burden on the hospital system and provide patients with better options for managing their disease.
