New methods to improve cancer immunotherapy
Purpose:
Cancer immunotherapy now represents a new fourth pillar in cancer treatment to complement surgery, radiotherapy and chemo-/targeted therapies. Despite recent successes with cancer immunotherapy in prolonging patient survival and quality of life, resistance can be innate or develop in many patients. This application aims to study mechanism and develop new therapies that overcome this resistance to broaden the effectiveness and utility of cancer immunotherapy.
