Grant Activity:
The Epidemiology of Diabetes Complications: Identifying New Risk Factors and Population Trends
Purpose:
Most of the serious effects of diabetes are through its complications. This program will establish a major new study to improve our understanding of how diabetes complications develop and how to identify people who are heading for major problems in time for treatment to be put in place. It will also track the rate at which serious complications are occurring in Australia and overseas to determine if treatment is being appropriately delivered across the population.
