Purpose:
At Mouse Proof Brewing we come from the fields of science and engineering, using the brewery to draw attention to Australian agriculture and production. Sustainability is at the heart of what we strive to do, but as a micro brewery the options are somewhat limited. This grant allows us to update our extremely inefficient fermentation cooling/heating and process control automation, which subsequently will reduce our energy consumption in this area by up to 66%. Fermementers are currently stored in fridges with ambient air cooling, and will be replaced with liquid based cooling. Elementary control systems will be updated for optimised control. The value of the grant is forecast to be recovered in energy savings within 4 years.
