The Cottage Motor Inn hot water system upgrade
Purpose:
The Cottage Motor Inn is an 18–rooms motel in South Albury. It's a 40–year–old building and the hot water system needs to be upgraded to improve energy efficiency. The new hot water system will use renewable energy to heat the water.
The old system was natural gas storage with tanks ranging from 1998 to 2015. This requires upgrade as it is beyond life expectancy and will need to be changed over imminently.
The current old system (Rheem Gas Storage) was manufactured over 2 decades ago meaning it is out of touch with today's energy efficiency standards. The site has a large amount of solar panels currently for which is a cleaner energy than the gas supply that can now be made redundant.
