Purpose:
Waverley Lions Village Inc provides low rental accommodation for aged pensioners, with consideration to those in the most necessitous circumstances. Thirty seven one bedroom units have been built on site for this for this purpose. The Committee of Management (comprising 100% volunteers) has decided to replace the hot water services in twelve of these units which contain 50L electric hot water services servicing the kitchen and bathroom. These are inefficient. It is planned to replace them with electric 150L Eco Alliance heat pump units which will benefit the residents by reducing energy bills and benefit the environment by using an estimated 30% saving in power consumption.
