Harnessing research translation science to drive ‘the right care’
Purpose:
Health systems worldwide aim to deliver ‘the right care’ to patients but realising this remains a major challenge. Only about 60% of patients receive effective and appropriate care, while about 30% receive unnecessary, ineffective care and 10% is potentially harmful. Over the next 5 years I will use cutting-edge behavioural science methods to evaluate novel strategies to reduce low-value care and advance new knowledge for health system improvement.
