Artificial intelligence in ophthalmology: from data to algorithm and real-world application
Purpose:
Based on extensive expertise and experience in artificial intelligence (AI) in ophthalmology, this project will collect clinical data from electronic medical records of 200K patients, construct a general AI algorithm, with an aim to develop and validate a clinical decision system for ophthalmology that is able to predict disease outcome and prognosis, as well as help clinicians decide what is the best treatment option, based on real-world multi-modality clinical data.
