Developing new preventions and treatments for chronic respiratory diseases
Purpose:
There are no broadly effective treatments for emphysema, severe asthma or lung cancer. Using experimental systems we developed we have identified new drug targets and therapies for these diseases. We will also use new technology to deeply profile changes in cells and tissues and identify pathways that globally control these diseases that can be targeted with new therapies. We will now progress our therapies towards human use that will lead to new treatments for these diseases.
