Purpose:
Undertake repatriation activities to return Australian Indigenous ancestral remains and secret sacred objects from the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT)'s collection to their community of origin. MAGNT will also repatriate Australian Indigenous remains returned to Australia under the Indigenous Repatriation Program to their community of origin that have been placed in the temporary care of the Museum.
