Grant Program:
Soil Carbon Measurement Innovation Challenge
Grant Activity:
Rapid Assessment of Soil Parameters (RASP) to manage & quantify soil carbon
Purpose:
SensorC has developed a system for soil measurement using an electrochemical sensing-based technology for soil organic carbon. Our soil probe measures soil carbon, bulk density, and moisture. This Project will demonstrate the sensor's technical ability via in-field trials and validate against soil using current gold-standard lab testing methods.
This Project will provide academically reviewed comparative data, assisting with validating the probe's measurement accuracy and ability to automate the in-ground measurement of soil carbon.
SensorC technology will also be used in an engineered device, which will be created and evaluated in a form that achieves cost, market acceptance, accuracy, and function in Australian soil environments.
