The effect of alcohol exposure on maternal, placental and fetal micronutrients
Purpose:
Many women drink alcohol before they know they are pregnant, unintentionally exposing the baby to harmful effects. This project will aim to find strategies to prevent or reduce the impact on the developing baby. We will examine whether dietary supplementation will offer such a solution and if so when the optimal timing may be.
