Grant Activity:
Partnership and paradigm shift: Tools to sustainably eliminate Chronic Hepatitis B (CHB) in the Northern Territory (NT)
Purpose:
Chronic Hepatitis B (CHB) is a common infection in Aboriginal people, which can lead to liver disease if not diagnosed and managed. My PhD aims to improve the care for Aboriginal people living with CHB in the NT in a culturally safe and sustainable way. I will establish sustainable methods, including training Aboriginal staff, to ensure that all those with CHB are identified and engaged in care. This will improve health outcomes and decrease deaths associated with complications of CHB.
