Grant Activity:
Identifying heterogenous mechanisms of drug resistance in high grade serous ovarian cancer
Purpose:
The prognosis for women diagnosed with ovarian cancer is poor, with only one third of women living longer than five years from diagnosis. Chemotherapy controls this cancer early, but over time the cancer can adapt and evade control. Our understanding of how this occurs is improving but requires more research. This project focuses on the precise understanding of the ways in which cancer avoids control by old and new treatments and will lead to better targeted treatment of ovarian cancer.
