Improving the knowledge and utility of flexible bronchoscopy (FB) in children
Purpose:
My PhD will focus on the current gaps relating to the utility of flexible bronchoscopy in children. Three studies will be carried out including a randomized controlled trial, a prospective cohort and case control study with the objectives of whether flexible bronchoscopy improves clinical outcomes and management, validating a flexible bronchoscopy derived bronchitis score (Bscore) and determining if there is an association between tracheomalacia and bronchiectasis.
