Purpose:
Facilitated by lead Artist Warren Mason, Aboriginal community members will build a replica of a 1940’s/50’s Aboriginal Tin Camp – those often found on the outskirts of townships in Australia. It is intended that the Tin Camp will be a culturally safe space for people to come, sit and share stories. Prominate First Nation Story Tellers will be engaged to share their stories of living within these camps with Festival Audience. Patrons will be encouraged to share their stories and have them recorded by the Wayfinder mobile recording studio and made available through podcast.
