Advancement of validation practice in patient-reported outcomes measures (PROMs)
Purpose:
Self-report questionnaires are critical for outcomes assessments in healthcare and the data are used for decision-making. Methods to determine if these data are appropriate for decision making are sparse. This project will develop and test methods and a validation framework to improve validation of questionnaires. This research will help healthcare workers and policy makers choose better questionnaires for better decision making about healthcare and the value of health programs.
