Purpose:
A feasibility study to investigate microgrid technologies for the Muralug (Prince of Wales) Island and Napranum Indigenous Communities. Muralug is an island community in Torres Strait that has no community electricity service, sewerage, or water supply. Residents are self-sufficient, relying on small generators, private solar and batteries and LPG. The feasibility study will explore options for a fully-integrated community.
