Purpose:
The program provides a professional development opportunity for business advisers that integrates mental health first aid training with a relationship-centred, business mentoring approach to supporting the business and mental health-related needs of small business (SME) owners. It will equip advisers with the ability to deal with heightened distress in SME owners and enhance skills in identifying/understanding SME owners business needs/stressors when delivering business advice. The program will also ensure longer-term knowledge transfer and training viability within the profession/industry. Delivering the program on the scale proposed, and undertaking detailed evaluation, will produce learning's that can be applied to other sectors.
