Bring back the bush for koalas on the Mid North Coast
Purpose:
The Bring Back the Bush for Koalas on the Mid North Coast project will extend and improve habitat in the Forster, South Taree and Comboyne Areas of Regional Koala Significance (ARKS) to support koala recovery. It will be coordinated and managed by the NSW Department of Planning and Environment (DPE). Investment will target on-ground outcomes by revegetating land to create new koala habitat and restoring degraded habitat through weed control, fencing and cultural burning. We will work closely with local communities, including First Nations, to build strong, sustainable networks and collaborate with key partners for successful implementation.
